Will a screw set fix electronics symptoms?

No. Screws are passive fasteners for reassembly. Diagnose power, storage, audio, display, and control faults separately.

What tools do I need to install these screws?

A Phillips #00 driver — not a Torx bit. Buyers often search for Torx screws on this model, but the iPod Classic’s internal fasteners are Phillips: they hold the front panel to the metal framework, the logic board to the framework and the headphone jack / Hold assembly to the rear panel. The screwdriver is not included with the screw set.

Is this an iPod Classic?

Apple sold this model as iPod classic (Late 2009). '7th Generation' is common repair-market shorthand for the thin 160GB A1238 model, not an official Apple product name.
