Free iPod Diagnostic Service

Not sure what is wrong with your iPod, or what it will cost to fix? Send it to us. We diagnose it at no charge and email you a repair quote with no obligation. If you don’t like the quote, we ship the iPod back to you at our expense — you have nothing to lose.

How it works

1. Order this service (it is free). Pick your iPod model above; add the shipping box and prepaid label if you would rather not find a box yourself.
2. Mail us the iPod with a completed work order — see the mailing instructions. No printer? Write your order number and a note inside the box.
3. We diagnose it and email your quote. Approve it and we do the repair, usually within 3–5 business days, with a 1-year warranty on the work and the parts. Decline it and we ship the iPod back free.

We diagnose and fix

• Battery: won’t charge, short battery life, dies off the charger, swollen pack.
• Click wheel: scroll not working, center button stuck, worn or cracked wheel.
• Hard drive: sad face, click of death, freezing, iTunes restore errors — or a flash-storage upgrade instead.
• Headphone jack: sound in one ear only, static, hold switch dead.
• Logic board: dead iPod, damaged dock connector, water damage.
• Screen: cracked LCD, white or blank screen, lines, backlight out.
• Cosmetics: scratched or dented backplate, worn faceplate, unwanted engraving, color changes.
• …and most anything else on a classic-era iPod.
